My client is a fairly small but well run Yorkshire firm, properly structured, properly resourced, and operating from two locations. Business Services is an important part of their offering, and they're now planning ahead as they look to hire at senior level someone who most likely will be a future Director for Company Commercial. For this firm CoCo' is a mix of transactional and non-transactional work to regional businesses and SME's and OMBs.

Whoever joins will be in a fully involved role, working closely with a Director and also assisting less experienced colleagues. You'll be out and about developing contacts and work across North Yorkshire and beyond, and future Directorship will very much hinge on that ability to build a practise - you'll be supported in that, this firm is not unrealistic! It's a big fish small pond opportunity, and going forwards can be whatever someone wants to make of it.

The other option might be an experienced lawyer who isn't ready for retirement, but who wants a role where they'll be appreciated and visible, but with moderate generative expectations than in the big ticket corporate world. Realistically the firm would be hoping for upwards of 5 years anticipated service in the role, or it'd risk being more disruptive than beneficial.

Regardless, they're open on quite who might take this key role which is York based, and the money can flex for the best hire given the gravitas of the role.

There's a lot to like, but it's a firm which is better for knowing….some firms with a role like this really need a magic wand', but that's not the case here.
