Experienced Corporate Lawyer to sit in the middle of a small department in central Leeds, in support of two Partners. Full time or 4 days/week will work, so long as the person has enough experience to manage corporate work without close supervision.

Private Practice or in-house background will be considered, it's the quality of your technical corporate law skills which is most important as this is a key hire.

Whether you arrive as Associate, Senior Associate, or Legal Director will depend on your competency. Where you wish to progress to (including eventual partnership) will be down to you - this is not a prescriptive firm, so there's no right or wrong expectation of how you want your career to develop. What the do want is a capable corporate specialist who enjoys their work and wants to be part of a tight team.

The team has plenty of work, so they don't need you to bring anything with you. To progress to Partner you would have to take on profile building and work winning at some point, but arriving as an LD would be a soft landing and put you in a great position to progress if you want to.

Hybrid working as you'd expect of a progressive, supportive practice which has a good reputation and enthusiastic leadership.

A great role to shape around the right candidate, offering the right balance of exposure, responsibility, and prospects.

Brooke Thornham Consulting advertisements use PQE levels purely as a guide to the level of experience required for the role and this does not prohibit applications from candidates who are able to demonstrate the necessary skills and experience. We aim to respond to enquiries as soon as possible but if we have not contacted you within 5 days then unfortunately on this occasion your application has not quite met the requirements of our client closely enough.
